I got the idea of shooting geometrical photos of Manhattan buildings while sitting at the computer in Santa Fe. I flew there, made hundreds of exposures, came home and couldn’t believe how many of the photos I liked.
I decided to make similar photos in Las Vegas, but when I got there I realized I needed to make them more specifically about Vegas, but in the same style. After I shot Vegas, I shot Detroit, and then I went to Dallas, after which I put GEOMETRICS on hold while I focused on just THE EMPIRE OF TEXAS.
I had to go to New York in March 2016, so I shot some more then, but now, in 2017, I’m actually more focused on TEXAS.
