I happened upon a used magazine store going out of business in 1988, and I bought a box of Japanese porn magazines from them for a couple of bucks. I tore out pictures, crumpled them up, lit them harshly, and took pictures of the pages with a Mamiya 645 camera and a macro lens. I was drawn by the looks of passion and ecstasy, feigned or otherwise, on the models’ faces. I loved that Mamiya, but I sold it in the 90s to a Dutch guy on EBay.
Signed artist pigment proofs of any of these images are available for collection:

I also have available many vintage silver halide prints from this series printed on 8×10, 11×14, and 16×20 Kodak paper; terms debatable.
